Calmo – Bedtime Stories for Kids · Last updated October 28, 2026

In short

This policy explains what information the Calmo app ("Calmo", "we", "us") handles, why, and the choices you have. Calmo is made for families and is designed to be used by children with a parent or guardian.

1. Information kept only on your device

Some information is stored only on your phone or tablet so the app can work. It is not sent to us:

Deleting the app removes this information.

2. Anonymous usage statistics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, for example which stories are enjoyed and whether a screen is confusing. It records:

This information doesn't identify you or your child. We use it only to operate and improve Calmo. It is not used for advertising, profiling or tracking across other apps or websites.

3. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report containing technical details (what went wrong, the device model, operating system and app version, and the app-instance identifier) so we can fix the problem.

4. Purchases

Calmo Premium is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see or store your payment details, name or Apple ID. The app receives only the purchase status (which plan, and whether it is active) from Apple.

5. Delivering stories

Story audio and videos are streamed and downloaded from Google Firebase Storage. As with any internet download, Google's servers receive your device's IP address to deliver the files.

6. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Calmo has no accounts, chat or sharing features, and shows no ads. The analytics described above are anonymous and are used only to run and improve the app. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Who processes the information

We share information only with these providers, so they can deliver these services, or when the law requires it. Their servers may be located outside your country.

8. How long information is kept

Firebase keeps app-instance analytics data for a limited period (at most 14 months) and crash reports for 90 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
